Hello everyone…so its my writing pal..Tobi Olajoko at it this morning. Dishing out some spicy nudget and serving it in a beautiful manner.Do enjoy and grab something.
It is so amazing that 2016 moves like the tide of the sea. It started with so much adrenalin of enthusiasm, aspirations and great plans to achieve exceedingly. The reality has dawn on you, the first half is over and half of your intended goals are yet to be attained.
I know you are working assiduously to accomplish but results are not just forth coming, then you need to read this. Do not mistake activity with achievement. I’ve had so much on my schedule lately such that my days are full of activities but the results may not commensurate with my efforts and time invested.
However, there are days when I am supremely satisfied at the end, such days are not when I lounge around doing nothing, they are days I’ve had everything to do and I did them.
The honest truth is everyone who got where he is has had to begin where he was not where he remained; hence it is not the time to give up.
Yes, the economy is dwindling, salaries are not forth coming, debt profile keeps increasing, business isn’t moving as proposed, schools are on closure but you cannot afford to be an onlooker. A non-doer is very often a critic, such a person sits back and watches doers and waxes philosophically about how doers are doing. While it is easy to be a critic, being a doer requires effort, risk and change.
There is no gainsaying that it is difficult, but the greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it. I recall hearing that the most skilful of pilots earn their reputation from storms and tempests.
David Bailey once said that,”we live in deeds not years, in thoughts not breaths, in feelings not in figures on a dial.” Friends, it is not a time to quit, neither is it a moment to give up.
It is a time to get back to the drawing board and restructure, it is a time to apply your physical and mental energy without growing weary bearing in mind that success is not measured by just what you accomplish but by the opposition you have encountered and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.
David was only a small shepherd boy but he conquered the giant Goliath with the help of his God and his own determination.
However the last 6 months have been, better days are here before you. So, finish each day and be done with it knowing that you’ve done what you could, though some blunders and absurdities could creep in, forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; begin it with all freshness and a high spirit that cannot be encumbered with your previous lapses.
The desire to succeed, the will to win, the urge to reach your full potential are keys that unlock personal excellence.
I will like to conclude with these words of Anthony Robbins, “The truth of the matter is that there’s nothing you cannot accomplish if: You clearly decide what it is that you’re absolutely committed to achieving, you’re willing to take massive action, you notice what’s working out or not and you continue to change your approach until you achieve what you want using whatever life gives you along the way.”
Wishing you a productive rest of the year. Cheers
