Dear blog readers,
I hope you are all doing well.
Today, we are doing a little pep talk, slightly different from the “aspire to perspire” style. #takes a deep breathe.
NEWSFLASH! I LOVE TO READ,  incase you do not know. Laughs.
Well, in the course of reading I came across a quote many years ago and it stuck to my subconscious mind. Afterwards, I find myself or someone around me in some certain situations and the quote by Marianne Williamson  comes back to my memory. I cannot but agree with this great writer.
Here it goes,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate! Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do”
Here is the teaser:
Who are you not to be great?
Who are you not to be rich?
Who are you not to live in that dream house when you can afford it?
Who are you not to buy that car you admire so much?
Who are you not to be the leader of the project?
Who are you not to order that food that makes your mouth water?
Who are you not to travel to places you desire?
Who are you to hide your success because you do not want others to feel bad/insecure?
Who are you not to be fabulous?
Who are you not to air your opinions because you will be labelled a rebel?
Who are you not to be the most loved in the room?
Who are you not to excel?
Who are you not to enjoy life?
The thing is, children do not need your permission to shine. They enter into a room and take centre stage.
Like this great quote implies, your playing small or hiding does the world no good. Of course there would be people who may feel intimidated by your choices and success but trust me, there are more people who
be motivated by your life.
So just like I promised myself to be more in your faces (literally), can you promise me that you would not hide all the goodness, talents and awesomeness embedded in you because of what people would think or say!
Actually, who am I not be talented, gorgeous or fabulous?
That said, remain awesome!
